Positive Behaviour Practitioner

Salary: £23,720 per annum, pro rata
Actual Salary: £20,430 per annum
37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, Term Time Only, (0.86 FTE)

We are looking for an inspirational and dedicated individual to support, influence, and improve behaviour standards throughout the organisation; To have a proactive and visible presence on campus, challenging unsafe behaviours and educating learners so they can make better choices.
Key tasks of the post, will include: To work with students on College premises in upholding and modelling behaviour standards and expectations as well as challenging inappropriate learner behaviours; Carry our screening, search and confiscation; Deliver behaviour expectations antibullying workshops to students and staff. Have active listening skills and the ability to use positive, calm and clear communication.
You will possess a minimum of 4 GCSE’s at Grade 4-9 (C or above), or equivalent qualifications (including Maths and English); Be qualified to A Level, or equivalent; Hold a first aid at work certificate, or have a willingness to attain this required qualification; Have significant experience of working in an environment with young people (16-19), including those with challenging behaviours; Able to form impartial and balanced judgements and make quick decisions in high-pressured situations; Have strong negotiating and influencing skills and the ability to convince through personal credibility.
