What are we looking for?

The main focus will be on training and assessment in the workplace, following the NVQ-QCF and Apprenticeship model of Assess/Train/Assess.  The identification of Basic Skills needs and the delivery of training both in company and in College will also form an important part of the role. You will be undertaking assessments in the workplace as well as regular reviews with the candidates and taking responsibility for the administration related to these candidates. Relationships with vocational employers are of prime importance to the College and the successful candidate will need to foster and build on these relationships for the benefit of the candidates in their programme. 

We’re looking for someone who is occupationally competent with a good range of experience within the given  profession. You’ll either already hold assessor qualifications (A1/ TAQA) or have a firm commitment to achieve them. You will be a good communicator with the ability to negotiate with candidates and employers.
