LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (1 POST)

Salary Range: £16,822 - £17,436 per annum, pro rata, (Grade 1C – 2A, SCP 9 – 12)

Grade 1C SCP 9 £16,822 per annum, pro rata (unqualified or qualified to Level 3 in Learning Support; Level 2 literacy and numeracy)

Grade 2A SCP 12 £17,436 per annum, pro rata, (qualified to Level 3 in Learning Support; Level 2 literacy and numeracy; additional higher level relevant support qualification/s) 

If required, Level 3 in Learning Support to be achieved

within 2 Years

25 hours per week (0.66 FTE), 36 weeks per year (term-time only)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our busy, supportive team.  As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide in-class support for students with a range of individual needs, either on a one to one basis or in small groups. You will help to develop their literacy, numeracy and study skills and in doing so raise their retention and achievement levels and develop learner independence. A flexible approach to your work is required, as is the need to maintain accurate progress records and reports as you support students in achieving their learning goals and life ambitions.

You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build a great rapport with our learners.  You will be professional and friendly with good IT skills, adopting a holistic approach to achieve the best outcomes.
