Salary Range: £27,269 - £34,810 per annum, pro rata

Part-time, 21 teaching hours per week (32 total paid hours), 0.88 FTE


Stoke on Trent College is going through an exciting change and transformation programme. The College has received Skills Equipment funding from Stoke and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SSLEP), enabling expansion of our well-established Digital and Creative facilities and courses, in particular Games Design, Virtual Reality, Animation and eSports. We are based at the Cauldon Campus in the University Quarter of Stoke-on-Trent.

Key tasks of the post, will include coordinating, design, delivery and development of programmes of study up to Level 4 for groups of learners.  You will be able to incorporate your knowledge and skills in Games Art projects, using both theory and practical aspects of Games Art. This is an exciting time to join the team at Stoke-on-Trent College.

You will work as part of the Media team, providing delivery of courses in Level 4 HNC, Level 3 Games Design and Level 1 and 2 Games and Media courses. You will undertake 12 hours of contact class time with learners each week.

You will possess a minimum of being a qualified teacher e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE or DTLLS or CET, or a firm commitment to obtain the required teaching qualification. Relevant level 6 or 7 qualification within relevant vocational sector games development or Games Art related degree. Skills we require for the role include experience with 3D modelling workflows (for example, 3DS Max), knowledge of Concept Art development and illustration, Game Asset Production workflows, knowledge of 3D Printing methods and techniques.
