Stoke-on-Trent College seeks to create an organisational culture and working environment within which staff are able to develop their full potential in supporting the College Mission and Strategic Ambitions.

Individual Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities may include:
  • Attending formally accredited courses/qualifications.
  • Internal and external seminars/workshops and conferences.
  • Industrial placement in external organisations
  • Work based activities e.g. projects, research, report writing, internal secondments/placements
  • Collaborative learning, peer observations (pairs, quads or Beacons), community of practice development, involvement in planning and liaison with external agencies.
  • Self-directed/informal learning e.g. updating professional knowledge by reading professional journals/publications, observations and reflection
