Lecturer in Access – Sociology & Psychology

Stoke on Trent College is going through an exciting change and transformation programme.  We are looking for inspirational and dedicated individuals to join us on our journey to Outstanding.

The successful applicant will join an established team that plans, implements, and delivers Access to HE based courses.  The teaching commitment will consist of day and up to two evenings a week and will be on the following programmes:

•           Access to HE Health

Key tasks of the post, will include to coordinate, design, deliver and develop a programme(s) of study up to Level 4 for groups of learners and to assess learners according to established guidelines, and provide a positive learning experience.

You will possess a degree in Sociology and/or Psychology based subject. You will have experience of delivering learning to 19+ year olds in an educational setting and must have taught on relevant Access to HE programmes.  You will have the ability to deliver high quality and effective learning and evidence that you are able to apply effective approaches to teaching to more than one level and target audience.

You will be able to demonstrate extensive range of knowledge, understanding and application of curriculum development, innovation and delivery strategies in the post-16 sector and have a sound knowledge of developments within the Social Psychology/Health sector.
