Stoke on Trent College is proud to be home to a community of inspirational individuals who go above and beyond every day to support and empower our learners. This International Women’s Day, we take the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible women across our college.
International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on 8th March, is a global occasion recognising the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It also serves as a powerful call to action, reminding us all of the importance of accelerating progress towards gender equality.
Since it was first marked in 1911, with over a million people taking part, International Women’s Day has grown into a worldwide movement. Today, it belongs to everyone and is driven by collective action to create a more inclusive and equal future.
This year’s theme, ‘Give to Gain’, highlights the importance of support, collaboration and lifting one another up. It encourages us all to embrace a mindset of generosity, recognising that by investing in others, we strengthen our entire community.
Working in a wide range of roles, our female colleagues are united by a shared commitment: helping our learners succeed and thrive. Their passion, dedication and impact are felt in every corner of the college.
