Stoke on Trent College recently came together to celebrate the incredible achievements of colleagues at our 2026 Staff Accolades, recognising the dedication, passion and commitment of those who make a real difference to our learners, colleagues and communities. The event celebrated outstanding contributions across teaching, professional services and support teams, with awards recognising excellence, innovation, collaboration and exceptional service.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Principal’s Award to Samantha Leese, Business Engagement Coordinator, in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the College and unwavering commitment to supporting learners, employers and colleagues. This year’s celebrations also saw the introduction of the new FREDIE Award, recognising colleagues who champion the College’s values of Fairness, Respect, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement.
The inaugural award was presented to Nargis Baig in recognition of her outstanding commitment to fostering an inclusive culture and creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to succeed.
The Staff Accolades are a celebration of the people who make Stoke on Trent College such a great place to work. We are incredibly proud of every nominee and winner, whose passion and commitment continue to shape positive experiences for our learners and our community.
